Changes
added information concerning QuickTime 7.6.7, and added warning concerning Apple Application Support
With each QuickTime release, the classID for the registry check and uninstall command changes. To find the correct classID for unknown QuickTime versions, try running <code>strings QuickTimeInstaller.exe | egrep '\{[0-F]+(-[0-F]+){4}\}'</code>.
For example, QuickTime 7.6.6 7 uses <code>{28BE306EEB900AF8-5DA6CC61-4F9C4E15-BDB0871B-DBA3C8C6FFFD98D1EA3E8025}</code>. Newer QuickTime releases require Apple Application Support to work properly. See [[iTunes]] for more information.
Now you only have to delete the Registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" -> "QuickTime Task".
