A recent version of Windows Scripting Host (WSH) is required to run WPKG. Some Windows version either have no WSH or WSH is too old. Obviously, WPKG cannot install its own requirement, so you may use a Windows batch file instead. A further complication is that there are different installers: one for Windows 98, NT, and ME and another for 2000 and XP.

The actual WSH is available for download from Microsoft.
Please note that the required WSH 5.6 will be installed as a part of IE6 SP1 (and probably also IE7).
