The installation for QSR Nvivo 8 is similar to Nvivo 7 but alot a lot more streamlined for the activation process.
In an interactive Nvivo 8 installation all the components are installed as part of the installation process, some are the same as Nvivo 7 but there are a few new ones including Quicktime and Windows Media Player 11. The details are outlined in the network admin install guide here
