With each QuickTime release, the classID for the registry check and uninstall command changes. To find the correct classID for unknown QuickTime versions, try running <code>strings QuickTimeInstaller.exe | egrep '\{[0-F]+(-[0-F]+){4}\}'</code>.
For example, QuickTime 7.6.7 8 uses <code>{EB900AF8E7004147-CC612CCA-4E15431C-871BAA05-98D1EA3E80252AB166B9785D}</code>.
Newer QuickTime releases require Apple Application Support to work properly. See [[iTunes]] for more information.
