Rather than a directory called 'graphics', I find it better practice to have a directory called 'dia' because it's easier to find installers when each is in their own directory, and if you keep config files for particular in there too then it would get doubly cluttered if apps were in directories related to their functionality. Also, not all apps fit neatly into such categories as some would straddle them.
